Please support the Amazon Animal Orphanage

and the Pilpintuwasi Butterfly Farm

Amazon Community Animal Rescue, Education and Safety is not officially affiliated with the Amazon Animal Orphanage and Pilpintuwasi Butterfly Farm, however, we can attest to their wonderful work.  Because they are not registered as a USA 501(c)(3) charity, they lose many donations.  You can donate to this worthy organization through Amazon CARES.  When you click on the Donate Now button below, be sure to indicate your donation is for the Amazon Animal Orphanage.  Amazon CARES does this as a free service for the animal orphanage and pilpintuwasi.

The Amazon Animal Orphanage links above takes you to the Orphanage with news and updates on how the animals are faring. The Pilpintuwasi Butterfly Farm link takes you to the Butterfly Farm. Both the Orphanage and the Butterfly farm are in the same location in Peru.

Amazon Community Animal rescue, Education and Safety supports the work of these institutions by providing free veterinary care to the rescued wildlife at this Peruvian "Centre of custody"

The Amazon Animal Orphanage is designated by the Peruvian Government as a "Centre of Custody" for rescued wild animals. It is home to many magnificent species under the protection of the Orphanage. Please take time to visit and be enchanted by these splendid and sometimes endangered animals. Meet Pedro, Luigi, Angie, Rosa . . .

This small non-profit is in ongoing need of financial support to feed abandoned and orphaned wild animals.

Gudrun Sperrer's dream was to work with animals, including breeding one of the world's most beautiful creatures -- butterflies. At Pilpintuwasi you will see the complete lifecycle and the impressive development of butterflies.

With a host of volunteers who also love nature, they are conscious of the threats to flora and fauna, and hope that all of their efforts will enable visitors to increase interest in and love of our natural world and help with conservation efforts.
